Through its College and Career Transitions Office, Prince George’s Community College is a state-recognized SNAP Outreach resource. SNAP Outreach is a partnership with SeedCo, a non-profit organization that aims to provide federally funded Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits to low-income individuals and families and help them buy nutritious food, including the fruits, vegetables, and grains required for a healthy lifestyle.

CCT’s outreach efforts help eligible low-income individuals who are not currently SNAP recipients become aware of its benefits and receive assistance with the application process.

Students may be eligible to receive SNAP benefits if they:

  • Are unemployed, work part-time, or earn low wages
  • Receive public assistance payments
  • Are elderly or disabled
  • Are homeless
