Our Food Resource Specialists connect MoCo residents with a variety of food assistance resources and nutrition benefits near them through application assistance and referrals.

SNAP Application Assistance:

  • Provides monthly benefits to eligible households on an EBT card, which can be used to purchase food at participating stores and farmers markets

 

SUN Bucks (Summer EBT) Application Assistance:

  • Provides $120 in benefits per eligible school-aged child while school is out for summer

 

FARMS (Free and Reduced Meals) Application Assistance:

  • Provides eligible school-aged children with free or reduced cost meals in MCPS

 

MC Groceries Application Assistance:

  • Provides funds for eligible Montgomery County families to purchase groceries

 

WIC Referrals:

  • Provides funds to purchase healthy foods for women who are pregnant, have recently given birth, and have children under the age of 5

 

Farmers Market Nutrition Program Referrals:

  • Provides funds to seniors and WIC participants to purchase fruits and vegetables at farmers markets

 

Food Assistance Referrals:

  • Connects households needing emergency food services to the 100+ food assistance sites in Montgomery County
