Chesapeake Multicultural Resource Center – Subcontractor to SEEDCO
Mission: Increase Talbot County agencies’ cultural competence and capacity for bi-lingual communication with the Hispanic community.
Vision: The non-English speaking Hispanic community of Talbot County will have access to trusted, professional interpreters and culturally competent services across all agencies of Talbot County.
The Chesapeake Multicultural Resource Center assists clients with applications Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), as well as assessing clients needs and helping them navigate the various processes to apply for other assistance offered in our community.
We provide information, referrals and/or direct services for:
- legal service referrals
- immigration services
- enrollment/ renewal of Medicaid and/or health insurance plans
- employment support
- interpretation and translation services
- family support
- driver’s license
- training’s for organizations, including Cultural Competence
- housing counseling
