Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)

SNAP provides food benefits to eligible individuals and families to supplement their grocery budget so they can afford the nutritious food that is essential to their health and well-being.

You may be eligible to receive SNAP benefits if you:

  • Struggle at your current income level,
  • Are unemployed or work part time,
  • Receive Temporary Cash Assistance (TCA) or other public assistance payments,
  • Are elderly or disabled and live on a small income, or
  • Are homeless.

 

In addition, many legal immigrants and citizen children of undocumented immigrants can receive SNAP benefits if the eligibility requirements are met.
