Community Supported Cooking Classes - Behind the building

A partnership with the District of Columbia Summer Youth Employment Program to provide jobs to local teens who would otherwise be unfamiliar with urban agriculture. Inner city youth will learn critical skills needed in urban agriculture and environmental sciences to support the production of fresh produce.

This program follows a school’s completion of the five-year Garden Science program. Schools receive curriculum, teacher trainings, garden consultations and free SPROUT field trips to Washington Youth Garden’s one-acre Demonstration Garden in the United States National Arboretum.
