City Blossoms works with the site educators to design age-appropriate gardens and programming to help participants make strong first connections to nature and food. Each garden includes opportunities to grow, harvest, prepare, enjoy and share healthy, easy and affordable meals.

City Blossoms provides interactive, communal and children-focused gardens that transform unused or underused land into green spaces where youth and adults can interact with their natural environment through free activities, school field trips, community events and volunteering. Participants learn about ecology, urban agriculture, nutritious food, water conservation and composting techniques. Partners include Unity Health Clinic, DPR’s early childhood cooperative and multiple schools. Our green spaces are also partnering sites for DPR’s Composting Program.
